Before you begin

  • Read the author guidelines and prepare a blinded manuscript.
  • Prepare a separate title page, cover letter, and applicable reporting and ethics documents.
  • Upload PDF or DOCX files, at most 20 MB each and 30 MB per submission.
  • Confirm that all authors approve the submission and all required declarations are included.

Follow the review process

  1. SubmitUpload files and receive your reference number.
  2. ReviewThe editor screens the manuscript and shares review comments.
  3. ReviseRespond to comments and upload revised files when requested.
  4. DecisionRead the decision and access the article once published.
